KANSAS ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS

Empowering Children, Educators, and Families

Development of the Rubric

This instrument was developed by a workgroup of KASP. The Kansas School Psychologists Evaluation Protocol is patterned after the Kansas Educator Evaluation Protocol (KEEP). The development of this rubric began when KASP requested permission to develop an appraisal tool that was appropriate to the roles and functions of school psychologists.

To ensure the relevance and to promote the practice of school psychology, the KASP protocol is aligned with the Model for Comprehensive and Integrated School Psychological Services (National Association of School Psychologists [NASP], 2010) in developing the domains and indicators of professional practice. This rubric was also developed to align with the State of Kansas Department of Education’s guidelines in personnel assessment
