KANSAS ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS

Empowering Children, Educators, and Families

Constructs, Components, and Rubrics

Similar to the use of the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) and the Interstate School Leadership Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) Standards utilized by the Kansas Department of Education in developing the evaluation protocol for teachers and administrators, KASP has utilized foundational principles as recommended by the National Association of School Psychologists in the development of the KSPEP.

The components of this evaluation tool reflect all 10 domains of practice (see Crosswalk Comparison). Service delivery models will vary from district to district. Not all of these domains may be executed by an individual school psychologist within a given year. Therefore, supervisors and/or administrators may want to adapt or excerpt material from this tool as needed, with the hope that the role and function of school psychologists will evolve into a broader based service.
